Studio Sidhe @ Back to Black & Festival of Sin…

Hi everyone!

A couple of awesome events are currently going on that we’re very pleased to be a part of; the first is Back to Black by CHIC Management which is an event focused on bringing awareness to the challenges every day people meet with extraordinary courage, determination, resilience and hope. The fair has been organised into areas with a theme word to guide the product/s each designer was to make for the event.

Studio Sidhe’s word was determination… I made chairs. LOL not sure why it occurred to me that climbing chairs would be just the thing to illustrate this concept, but; I did.

Determination is something that I know a lot about, have needed throughout my own life and have witnessed in abundance in the people I work with.

You can find this pose prop for $50L at the Back to Black event until the 29th of February 2012.

The second event that we’re involved in is the Festival of Sin which opened today! The sin Studio Sidhe has focused on is Sloth. And what says sloth better than the quirky meanderings of Vladimir & Estragon from Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot?

This is a two scene pose prop for two male avatars and is also on sale for $50L for the duration of the fair at our fair stall HERE

Showcasing SLink Rigged Mesh Feet with…

YOGA!

Hello everyone!

Yes that’s right… Siddean IM’d me a while ago when she released the rigged mesh feet and suggested that I make some poses to really show them off… and what shows off how beautifully these feet can move more than yoga?

Okay, maybe there are other things… I look forward to seeing them, but I thought of yoga first so went with that

I think it worked, but I gotta tell you, the thing pose makers struggle with is the limited movement of the SL avi mesh… it really doesn’t like moving to the extremes of what the RL body can (ya know, if you’re a 16 yrs old, ultra flexible fitness buff and gymnastics freak LOL) and yoga is of course all about pushing your body to the absolute extremes without hopefully dislocating joints… so you see, I set myself a rather crazy task having to find a happy medium that would reflect the lovely and awesome shapes of RL yoga while not totally smashing the SL avi mesh to bits or even worse having the avi look stiff, board like, with bugger all resemblance to yoga and the amazing grace of it.

Okay, here is the official proper message to announce Studio Sidhe’s Fifth Birthday and celebrations

Studio Sidhe has been a presence in SL for 5 years today! Hard to believe it’s been 5 years already!!!

In that time we’ve grown, not just in the range of products we make and sell, but in our skills and scope of our creativity here… it’s been an amazing journey!

One of things that strikes me about Studio Sidhe and what I attribute to it’s success is the amazing customers and friends who have supported us over the years. Studio Sidhe has always attracted the kinds of people you want to know… I’m very proud of our customer base as much as I am of our creations here

Unisex Model Poses are here!!! :D

Hi Everyone!

It’s been a while since I released some poses… these started out being a set for men, made up of a couple of poses I’d made at the request of a few guys in SL with some more made just for this set… my first mens pose set was all go until I decided to try the poses with my Avatar and lo and behold, they worked just as well on a woman’s avi!!!!

So the unisex pose set was born…

Ever wondered about Witches work place health and safety?

(I know you’re shocked! LOL)

I’ve made this little Halloween decoration which is animated so that you can see the poor witch being beaten into her cauldron by her wayward broom… it’s a definite case of “when spells go bad”… very sad *nods*.

You just touch to start and stop animation… dead easy!

Studio Sidhe at the 2011 Jewelry Fair! :D

Hi Everyone!

I have some soleless sandals… filled to the brim with soul. Bombshell! they’re Studio Sidhe; of course they are!

I had such fun making the textures for these, painting beads is one of my favourite things to do LOL no sure what that says about me, but there you go

5 variations available at the fair, with another one in the Oxfam charity vendor with 50% of all those sales going to the awesome cause that is Oxfam!

The sandals have been made to go with SLink bare feet (low), they will go all crazy if you try wearing them without prim feet of some sort.
